RULES
1-
The HEAT NC Bragging Rights Challenge is a lighthearted, fun competition
to be held at each regular monthly club cruise-in during the year. In the
event of a weather cancellation of a monthly cruise-in, that month's Challenge
will be carried over and held at the next monthly cruise-in along side the
Challenge scheduled for the current month (2 Challenges).
2- Contest categories will be created and assigned
by The HEAT NC club members, and announced ahead of time on the club web
site and Facebook page. Possible categories may include, but are not limited
to, such as these examples:
- Coolest Convertible (conventional ragtop/motorized hardtop/ removable
hardtop)
- Classiest Open Top (open top Jeeps, rails, T-buckets, modified race cars,
etc.)
- Most Beautiful Interior
- Best Engine/Engine Bay
- Most Likely To Turn Heads or Most Likely To Attract A Date (has that first
glance Wow factor)
- Classiest Four-door Hardtop (includes 4-door trucks, SUVs, Jeeps, etc.)
- Most Appealing Two-door Coupe
- Classiest Paint & Trim Scheme (two-tone, flames, pinstripes, airbrushing,
etc.)
3- Entrants: There is a $5 cash entry fee.
The HEAT NC Club members may enter any Challenge, but in that event there
may be NO club member serving as a judge. For a valid contest there
must be a minimum of four entrants. If a category has too few entrants,
entry fees are refunded and the category will carry over to the next month
and be held along with that month's category (2 categories).
4- Judging: Judges will be randomly selected
by club
members from cruise-in attendees at the cruise-in (either 5, 7 or 9 judges, depending on number of contest entries). No more than one club
member (and no officers) may be among the nine selected judges. If any HEAT
NC Club member is entered into the Challenge, there may be NO club members
serving as a judge. No one entered into a Challenge, nor an entrant's family
member, may be a judge for that Challenge.
5- Judges' Votes: Each judge will select a
1st, 2nd and 3rd choice on a written ballot. A 1st choice vote gets 3 points,
2nd choice vote gets 2 points, 3rd choice vote gets one point. Points will
be tallied by a club officer. Most points wins. In the event of a tie, judges
will revote on the tied entries only, with one vote per judge for 1st choice.
6- Winner: The winner will receive a trophy.
If there were twelve or more entrants, then the winner will also receive
a $25 cash award along with the trophy. All winners will be announced and
posted to the club's Facebook page and club web site.
These
rules are subject to change at any time in order to ensure a fair and equitable
contest.
